It has been deemed a culturally significant book by scholars and has been republished in the modern day for researchers and anyone else who may be interested. The recent volume has been edited...here is the original!

Published in 1856 in Northampton, Massachusetts, by Hopkins, Bridgman & Co.

The book is intact with no loose pages.
It has significant foxing due to age - meaning the pages are darkened- but they are quite supple.
Some pages are stained, but considering its age the condition is very good.

The cover is printed paper over boards. The front cover has titles enclosed in a tendril wrapped frame; rear cover with publishers advertisement enclosed in a chain-link frame. The cover is scuffed and lightly soiled with some watermarking. There is some edge wear and a divot on the top buy of the back cover; light rubbing wear at spine ends.
