Vintage 1930 Owens Illinois Brown Glass Large 2 quart Canning Jar w Porcelain Lined Zinc Lid - Marked No. 2000 - Boyd's / buy Hazel Atlas Cap

The glass to this large rare Owen Illinois brown glass canning jar is in excellent condition and has the Owen Illinois maker's mark on the bottom along with the number 2000 and the numbers 4, 0 and 12. The 0 code to the right means it was made in 1930 and the 4 plant code to the left means it was made in Clarksburg West Virginia The lid unfortunately has several holes in it (see photos), but the white porcelain lining is still fully intact. The porcelain buy lining is embossed with 'Boyd's Genuine Porcelain Lined Cap' and has the Hazel Atlas trademark in the center. This jar holds up to 8 cups of liquid (i.e. 2 quarts).
