Here we have a wonderful mid century cardboard store display sign for Futuro Nylon Hosiery out of Cincinnati, Ohio. The 19" x 13" thick cardboard advertising piece is in great used condition with light wear from use and storage. The fold out stand has been used and shows some wear. There is some light staining, discoloration, scuffs, and edge/corner wear throughout.
This is a unique piece from a company that started in 1919 selling only athletic arch support braces. The company soon added athletic supports and braces for ankles, knees, elbows and more. By the 1950s the company had broken out into the nylon support hose industry and are actually still selling products today.
This would be a great advertising piece for your collection. It has outstanding graphics of a well dressed lady, arm in arm with the silhouetted image of a man, turning around to reveal the back of her leg to mid thigh. These hose must have been pretty high end for the time with a buy price tag of $7.50 for a pair.
