A splash board, trim for a commode dresser, I purchased this from a auction from the Kansas in the early 1980's. We have polished it and it is in perfect Antique condition, for the period, beautiful spoon carvings and a floral look to the spoon carvings. I had wanted to always make this into a shelf for collectibles and hang on the wall, but it is for the top as in a splash board for a small dresser or commode.
This piece measures 29 inches long by 7.34 or 7.75 inches top to bottom, each flower from top to the bottom ledge where it begins the next trimmed design is approximately 2.75 inches or 2/14 buy inches. This pieces is completely original and is a burl walnut design of wood. I would value the cost as $ 150.00 to 250.00.
