This vase is simple and gorgeous. A semi transparent white glaze covers the brown clay beneath leaving hints of color and texture. A beautiful cobalt blue mid section covered in carved leaf shapes gives a subtle pop of color against the white under glaze and adds to the air of natural beauty. The fully glazed interior is just as beautiful as the exterior showing all of the ridges and lines composing this beautiful vase and highlighting the skill of the artisan. Beautiful little sculpted feet reminiscent of cavatelli pasta adorn the bottom of this vase lifting it elegantly to new heights.
This vase measures 7.5 in tall, 4.75 in wide and a depth of 6.5 in. It is in excellent buy vintage condition with no cracks or chips. It is quite hefty at over 2.5 lbs. There is a carved mark on the bottom of simply the letter 'A'.
