MCM Van Briggle Flower Frog Anna Van Briggle Colo Springs 2 pc Dark Black Blue Drip Glaze Bowl buy & Center Flower Frog Console Set Cottage Core

I am so excited to offer this very beautiful vintage two piece flower frog set signed Anna Van Briggle Colo Spgs.

Dating to the 1950s, the mid century modern bowl measures approximately 14 inches long, 6 inches wide and about 2 7/8” high. The smaller piece is approximately 6 1/2 inches long, 3 5/8 inches tall, and about 2 1/8 inch wide.

The long stylized mid century ruffle bowl has a beautiful drip or lava flow affect and it has a matching frog center piece. It's done in a rich dark blue, almost black glaze with contrasting grayish white highlights all around the top edge of each piece.

I'm actually wondering if it was designed to look like the ocean. The centerpiece to me looks like waves and the contrasting color in the glaze almost looks like the foam that you would see at the top of the waves.

I just love the lines on this set, from the scalloped, ruffled edge and the elongated slender bowl to the complementary lines of the frog, it has a nautical look that would go good with any kind of decor, from Antique to contemporary to Boho and shabby chic.

The set is in good preowned vintage condition. It's evident that the previous owner used this piece as you can see some scratches on the bottom of the bowl, and what is probably a little bit of mineral residue from it sitting in water at times. buy

However, there is no apparent damage or repair and it is in what has been assessed as collectible good to very good condition.
