This is so over the top! Presenting a large antique beaded tulle/net lace appliqué with a black silk tulle pouf!! It was initially intended as a sleeve cap on a flapper/Art Deco gown. This appliqué dates from c.1920s-30s. Most likely French manufacture.
This listing is for one (1) applique. I had two but one sold.
This is a sweet confection with glass seed and faceted bugle beads and what appears to be tiny black JET beading as well. There also are clear beads that look like they are mercury glass. There is also silk embroidery in gold, and grey. The colors of the glass beads are amber, blue, gold, pink and pale blue. This is all finished off with a spray of black silk tulle! It is a lovely Art Deco fan design!
Use this appliqué on a lampshade. The applique is large enough to make a decent buy impression! Wonderful for millinery use as well or to incorporate into evening purse designs. So many options await the costumer on how to put these to use!
Old store stock. It is in excellent condition for age and past use. A pull here and there to the silk tulle. There are also tiny scattered holes throughout the tulle. You can use as is, or replace the tulle if you wish or remove it entirely. There might be a few other beads missing other than some of the amber beads along the top right side of the appliqué. There also might be a tiny hole or two in the tulle that I missed. Lastly, the ends of the tulle need to be reattached to the applique in a few places...you can see this in the photos.
